Dutch Design is very popular in Japan. Under the titel of ‘No sign of design’ Siebold House showed a selection of the work of Richard Hutten in 2005-2006, reflecting on the question why this and other Dutch design fits so well in the Japanese sense of beauty. Within this context and by assignment

of the Siebold House CvdBremen organized a varied program with a selection of speakers and presentations. Guus Beumer talked about Dutch Design in Japan, architect Moriko Kira presented her renovation design for the Siebold House and the success of Miffy (Nijntje) in Japan was explained.

CvdBremen ended the series with a personal reflection on Japanese innovative products from the perspective of a designer based on her collection of funny consumer products and experiences in Japan.
